Best & Worst Homeowners Insurance Companies in Florida rated and review by a Florida licensed Public Adjuster based on his personal experience dealing with these homeowners insurance companies with property damage claims.
My ratings and review of these companies are based on my individual findings and dealings with these companies when dealing with a Homeowners Insurance Claim. I rate these companies from A to F.
In addition, I comment on why I graded these companies the way I did based on my experience.
Let me give you some of the criteria I used to grade the Best and Worst Homeowners Insurance companies in Florida with no specific order:
Insurance Claim Adjuster knowledge and experience
How quickly they payout claims
How likely they are to settle a claim
How likely are they to delay paying your claim or deny your claim
These are just some of the criteria I used to rate these companies. Watch the video below for a better understanding.
Here is a sneak peek at a few home insurance companies in Florida along with their grades:
UPC Homeowners Insurance—Rating D
FedNat Homeowners Insurance—Rating B
Citizens Property Insurance—Rating F
There are a lot of home insurance companies in Florida that handle claims much different than they do around the country. Why? Because there are more claims in Florida than any other state so because there are more claims, I believe they have set an entirely different set of rules for homeowners insurance claim in Florida. Sometimes, you have very little options on who you can get for your home insurance company so even if you wanted to get insurance with say FedNat, FedNat might not even write policies in your specific area.
